ARTIFICIAL INTEL

Artificial Intelligence and algorithms are nothing new.
But the tipping point to the sudden awakening was the launch of ChatGPT in 2022.
Since then, artificial intelligence became the buzz word.
Remember when mobile apps were still a new thing?
Should a business start-up be caught up into the trend?

A.I. For The Start-up

One strength of today's A.I. is the way it can help with marketing.

A.I. tools can analyze large amounts of data to identify consumer patterns and preferences. These tools can do it in ways that no humans can. This actually enable startups to tailor their marketing efforts to particular sectors or segments of the market. Personalized marketing messages and offers can then be crafted. Sniping, rather than the shot gun approach, leads to higher engagement and conversion rates.

Wrong Ways Of Using A.I.

Do you find A.I. generated content interesting?

This is November 2023 and ChatGPT is still at its infancy stage. Lots of folks are already tapping on its genius to shortcut the usually long tedious process of crafting marketing messages. Many feel that they can automate the process with a few prompts and a click of the button.

I've mixed feelings about that becoming a reality. Really.

What will become of the tens of thousands of wordsmiths who make a living generating valuable content? I'm not against advancements but i tend to think that oftimes too much of a good thing can lead to a disaster. Balance, my dear reader, balance. I'll leave that for another time.

Usually, for such messages to be effective, there are lots of research work done on the targeted market segment. It can be a very complicated process trying to get a good understanding of the needs, the habits, and then craft the message in the appropriate lingo.

Can ChatGPT really do that yet?

Short answer, no.

A.I. generated marketing articles may sound very intellectual, the vocabulary used even elegant. They are great at presenting facts, but they really don't speak to human needs. The fact is, this is 2025 and they still don't even sound very human.

So, one big mistake, at least at this stage, is to give it a go at convincing your potential clients.

What's It Best For Now?

So, how can the startup use A.I. to bring in more clients?

Since A.I. speaks robotic languages, apart from analytics, another good use of it is to let it speak to another robot.

Yup. Let it speak to GOOGLE, they'll understand each other perfectly. That's what it's good for for now.

And when GOOGLE agrees that the generated messages are informative, it'll make the messages easier for your potential customers to find.

Why Does This Work?

Have you ever wondered how some companies get to the first pages of GOOGLE and the majority don't?

Who decides that? GOOGLE!

Thus, why not not let A.I. do just that? Let A.I. come up with marketing messages that convince GOOGLE. A.I. can create them at lightning speed.

GOOGLE doesn't really care about nuances, gestures, connecting with the reader in unspoken ways, etc. All it is interested is whether the information satisfy Google's algorithmn.

Artificial intelligence is good at that.

What You'll Need To Achieve That?

Two things.

Number one, be good at understanding GOOGLE's requirements of good information. Number two, be good at helping A.I.s create exactly that.

It's really that simple.

One More Thing

Let's assume you manage to please GOOGLE and now your messages can be found by your targeted clients, you'll have to make sure that the messages speaks like a human to the readers.

Only by doing that will the clients be interested in your offer and decide to go one step further with you.

Conclusion

Think how best you can connect to your clients so you can serve them well. Businesses tend to forget that it's about service, being useful to the community and not just money. I know, it's really hard for most folks to agree with that in this materialistic world. But I hope at least some would. And I hope you are one of those few.
